Hi, I’m Sam!

I am a passionate writer, editor and online content creator who has been active in several online communities for the best part of ten years through mediums such as blogging, social media and animation. My destiny was sealed when, half an hour down the road in Cardiff, the media industry started to explode and South Wales became a new cultural hub. It was Doctor Who that captivated my six-year-old mind, leading the Welsh media revolution and showing me for the first time that my home could become a gateway to a much wider universe with seemingly infinite wonders to explore. For somebody who had never seen his home represented on the small screen - especially in such an awesome programme - how could this not be a call to adventure?

In 2009, I started my first YouTube channel and took my first steps into the world of media production. This channel would go on to become the home of eight years of stop-motion animation, join the RPM Network, and introduce me to some of my closest friends, without whom I would never have learned some of the most valuable lessons about online media. Since then, I have spread out across many online platforms with my content, and to this day I continue to use animation to bring innovative stories to the digital age.

In 2016, I enrolled at Bournemouth University to join their highly regarded Television Production course. To say the university experience was the making of me would be an understatement, and it has given me a brand new perspective on my goals in life. I also became an online student ambassador for the university, reaching out to prospective students across the world with videos about my experiences of student life in Bournemouth through their official social media channels. In 2019, I worked on my graduate project 'Masked,' in which I filled the role of editor and branding manager, constructing a strong online identity for the group and film while also inspiring me to pursue graphic design as an outlet.

Outside of my media life, I enjoy playing video games and travelling, and recently took a trip to Tunisia to see locations used in the original Star Wars film - which involved a 500km drive across the top of the Sahara Desert! This summer, I visited New York City and planning many more trips to come. I am also an amateur yet enthusiastic voice actor and photographer, I have a beautiful rabbit called Rita who is my world, and I am in the process of writing a brand new original animation and a short film telling the true story of my Nanna, who passed away a couple of years ago.

I hope you'll follow me as I continue my adventure in the world of media!
